If I had to start another productized service, I'd probably focus on min. $5k contracts (one-time or $1.5-2k/mo paid quarterly) :
- Better clients
- Less churn
- Unit economics make sense to do sales, PPC, etc.
- Working with 5-6 clients/month > working with 50
So how to start?
I would focus on two things:
1/ Work 5-10 hrs/week as "Fractional" Head of you-name-it: "SEO", "Sales", "PPC") and get them "early wins" that will later be very valuable case studies
2/ Create content + build your network (referrals are the best source of leads for B2B)

Today we redesigned "Use cases" on our SaaS page to "Got clients?"
Our goal is to help our clients... get more clients / serve their existing clients better.
So we thought: Let's design a page that speaks about that!

We used simple copywriting to tell prospective customers what our software does, and which features are coming soon too.

- Website creation and maintenance for dentists
The key is:
1. Pick a big market (example: Graphic design) 2. Pick a niche (example: Marketers at startups with 10-25 employees)

How to make a $1m/year productized service ($83k/month):
- 279 customers at $297/month
- 167 customers at $497/month
- 83 customers at $997/month
Some examples of productized services you can start in that range 👇
$297/month.
I started ManyPixels around that price range, and we later increased the prices to $399/month.
Other ideas: Content writing, Virtual assistant services, SEO audits, Wordpress development.

In 2018 I moved to 🇮🇩 Indonesia and started an online business, fully bootstrapped from 0 to $500k/year in revenue (25% profits). Here are some insights about creating value, distribution, building a team, and what my role is about.
1/ ⚡️ Starting your online business (1/3) The foundation of any business (and online too) is to provide value. The first step to create value is to find a good problem to solve and work on. Focus your energy on understanding the problems that people have.
