Okay. I am reviewing the Legislature's proposed bill on ballot design, and it is not only deeply problematic, but almost certainly unlawful. Follow along here. njleg.state.nj.us/bill-search/20…
First, the bill prohibits bracketing among candidates. It expressly says so! And then it completely undermines that by allowing candidates running for the same office (like the Assembly) to be treated as ONE candidate and be matched up together.

The past few months have really exposed a lot of issues with New Jersey’s election system, with the county line vs block office ballots being a prime example. Here’s an incomplete list of my personal recommendations to advocate for to make it a fairer, more equitable process. 🧵
1. CENTRALIZE ELECTION MANAGEMENT. Having 21 counties handling their own made more sense before the Internet (and SVRS) connected us all. Remove inefficiencies by centralizing the County BOEs and Superintendents (& County/Municipal Clerk’s role) into the Division of Elections.

So, right now, @Malinowski is leading by about 5k votes, down from about 28k on Election Night. The Boards of Election review mail-in ballots in order of being received and Democrats mostly returned theirs earlier in than Republicans. (1/x)
That means that, by Election Night, the Boards of Election hadn’t yet counted a large portion of Republican ballots, so we expected the margin to narrow (as it has).
At this point, there’s something like 15,000 provisional ballots left to be counted... (2/x)

So, I want to take this opportunity to explain what will happen next with my case against @kanyewest. Doesn't matter if you're a College Dropout or you're ready for Graduation, it's pretty simple and straightforward. (1/x)
On Tuesday, it's going to go before an Administrative Law Judge. It's virtual due to COVID but it's an informal process. I don't know if Kanye will appear, although he's more than welcome to and it's pretty common for candidates themselves to join. You don't need a lawyer. (2/x)
