TW: ableism

I had a FB memory pop up last week that I had completely forgotten about and when I re-read it I fucking cried.
It was a few years ago when I worked at @ultabeauty…my coworkers and I looked outside and saw a young man standing by the front of the store. 1/ He was basically only a few inches from the glass and kept tapping on it, occasionally hitting it lightly w his head. I didn’t know much about autism at the time but I knew immediately that he WAS autistic. It was also practically freezing outside. 2/

After 15 years of not knowing where the hell my seizures are coming from, I got some interesting news from my neurologist today that cleared up quite a bit…🧵 I had an 72 hour EEG done in September (on my bday 😒) and had to push “the button” about 3 times—basically any time I felt an aura coming on, I had to click it so they knew where to look specifically in that time frame. 2/
