Twitter, do you want to hear a long story about why romance authors are so reactive?
This is a story that is 10 years old and has finally lost its ability to break me apart even if it haunts me.
To preface: I love being a romance author. Here is the hoodie I'm wearing now. 1/
So, despite where this is going, I love writing and reading love stories, and I always have. And being able to say that is not as easy as those outside the profession believe.

Here's some of my biggest issues with the "for you" tab because I toggle back and forth to get a more retro Twitter experience. (Twitter like it's 2014!)
The delay as the algorithm decides if it's something that would interest me is ridiculous. Everything is 15hrs old.
And Twitter should know what interests me because I've told it what interests me. I've checked its boxes. I "like" tweets and RTs to excess. I reply to people I like. They reply to me. I tolerate and even 'like" certain promos (usually TV/film related.) It knows me.

Daughter: So, your book is like 2% the word "it"?
Me:
I'm here questioning all my life choices. How does this book not read like it's 2% the word "it"? It seems like it should.
