FVEY in NZ seems to have access to ALL US Intel. However, when you access data in NZ, there are no logs of it (they thought).
So let's say you're a former dignitary like John Brennan. You still have security clearance and you want to get in the system, get the data, and leak it. The problem is you know you'll be logged and you know they're watching you like a hawk.
So instead, you go over to NZ and get the data from there since you won't be logged. But what if they were being logged….for over a year?

this operation has tricked the democrats into vocally supporting 3 of the 4 people that present the most danger to them. rod rosenstein, bob mueller, and michael horowitz. the fight going on in congress right now over the DOJ and FBI providing documents is theater. why such a vicious fight over documents/evidence being provided to congress when congress can't really do much of anything with them? they don't have any prosecutorial power.

Injunctions that prohibit the Executive Branch from applying a law or policy against anyone—often called “universal” or “nationwide” injunctions—have become increasingly common.
