Harris promises the "most lethal" military on earth, to chants of "USA! USA!"

Jesus. Look, I'm neither naïve nor pearl-clutching about this. Everyone knows this was part of Harris making her case to right-wing militarists for her role as Commander-In-Chief. It's all calculated narrative work - like the "reclamation" of "freedom" - as it should be.

Should've stopped after "I'm no expert," because this is beyond wrong.

Let's take a little walk thru history to see how big of a lie this is - oft-repeated hasbara by those committed to rewriting history & erasing Palestine & Palestinians to justify slaughter & ethnic cleansing. Image Claiming that the place name "Palestine" was "introduced" by the conquering Romans in the 1st Century CE is a common Zionist refrain, trotted out time and again by propagandists who try to deny Palestinian Indigeneity and geographical and historical roots.

This career warmonger poses two ludicrous questions, both of which rely on straight-up lies.

1. Iran has no nuclear weapons program - a fact that has been affirmed by the IAEA & US, European, and Israeli intelligence agencies for decades.

2. "Time running out" is a canard. 1/ The "time is running out" talking point has been used by bloodthirsty regime change fanatics like Bolton for decades to not only create false urgency for diplomacy, but namely to declare that the *only* alternative is to deploy the military to commit war crimes against Iran. 2/

All-time best use of this was Jimmy Carter calling the Shah's Iran "an island of stability in one of the most troubled areas of the world" at a state dinner on New Year's Eve 1977.

407 days later, a popular revolution forced the Shah off the throne. He fled, never to return.

1/ Here's a wee bit of history for all you nerds:

In the late 1970s, despite the growing anti-monarchist movement in Iran, the U.S. intelligence community was untied in its commitment to the belief in the Shah’s “stability” and inevitable longevity.

Israel maintained a close & abiding relationship with the Apartheid regime in South Africa, even when virtually all other nations on Earth had cut ties & joined the international boycott. The alliance was more than mere convenience; rather, it was one based on shared values.

1/
"The Jews took Israel from the Arabs after the Arabs had lived there for a thousand years. Israel, like South Africa, is an apartheid state," South African Prime Minister Hendrik Verwoerd proudly declared back in 1961.

It is unsurprising that @AndrewYang is ignorant of the history of boycotts.

To liken the Palestinian call for solidarity in opposition to discriminatory and colonial Israeli policies to "fascist boycotts of Jewish businesses” demonstrates this ignorance more than he knows.

1/
The historical comparison is ludicrous, of course.

Nazi Germany instituted a blanket boycott of a persecuted minority solely due to their religious faith.

The BDS movement targets a state over gross violations of international law and its ongoing oppression of Palestinians.

Pay attention to the media coverage and narrative about the murder of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh and remember:

- Iran has exactly zero nuclear bombs.
- Israel has a stockpile of 80+ nuclear bombs.

- Iran has no nuclear weapons program.
- Israel has an active nuclear weapons program. - Iran is an original member of the Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty.
- Israel has never signed the NPT and refuses to do so.

- Iran's non-military nuclear energy program is the most rigorously monitored on earth.
- Israel's nuclear weapons arsenal is not regulated at all.

You call someone who continued occupying & bombing multiple countries, increased the killing of civilians, unconditionally supported Israeli colonization & apartheid, assassinated a high-ranking foreign official & attempted regime change in Venezuela & Bolivia an isolationist. And you assess that Reagan and W were guided by "values." Pray tell, which values were the ones Reagan deployed to make the rich richer while gutting social services, expanding the racist and imperial "war on drugs" and supporting death squads in Latin America?

Historically and systemically oppressed people are always expected to display quiet grace and dignity in the face of violence, terror, and intimidation. Think about why that is. If Nathan Philips had punched that stupid fucking kid in his stupid fucking face like he probably should have, the news cycle would be quite different right now. The onus is always on the oppressed to maintain decorum; never are the colonists expected to behave differently.

Oh, this is incredibly incorrect.

Let's take a walk through history, Uri, so you can learn a little about the ideology to which you subscribe. 1/ In 1862's 'Rome and Jerusalem,' perhaps the earliest Zionist text, Moses Hess asked France to "help the Jews to found colonies which may extend from Suez to Jerusalem and from the banks of the Jordan to the coast of the Mediterranean." 2/

Certain facts are routinely omitted from all reporting and commentary on Iran and its nuclear program. What follows is just a bit about what the media either doesn't know or won't tell you about Iran's activities prior to 2003. The false narrative that Iran had a "robust," "clandestine" & "active" nuclear weapons program prior to 2003 relies on the assumption that Iranian black market purchases of dual-use nuclear equipment (all nuclear tech is dual-use, folks) reveals a "secret" program to build bombs.
