On this day in 1929 (most) women were recognized in law to be persons in the British Empire. This paved the way for things we take for granted today: voting, owning property, self-determination, employment. Things that weren't afforded because of our sex. #PersonsDay #Suffragette And on this day we must play homage to our #Suffragette foremothers who worked so hard for us. #FamousFive #EmmelinePankhurst and many other women must be remembered. And today we must continue to be vigillent in guarding our rights as #Women. #PersonsDay #WomensRights
