We now have approximately 20 of these IBM model M 122 key keyboards. We do not need all of them. Some of them will be sold. Some of them are rubber domes and will become art pieces for the museum βΊοΈ

Thankfully, the internals look a lot nicer than the externals do. The computer is pretty loaded up too, though not with anything super interesting. We have 2 ram boards, seen at the bottom, the stock Altair turnkey board above that, a 3rd ram board, 2x floppy, and CPU above that
I'm ignoring electrical parts right now as I don't have my setup made for soldering quite yet, so let's strip the computer down to the bones and give it a good cleaning. The main case itself is in B+ condition, with 90% of the plating intact, and only a small patch of actual rust
It's a Dell 1970FPt, released sometime in the late 2000s. It's a "next generation" TN panel that runs at a native resolution of 1280x1024. It's got DVI and VGA in, and features a USB 2.0 hub. What do I have in store for a boring 10 dollar 13 year old monitor?
It's also a really cheap way of getting a third monitor without it looking like crap, or going through and redoing my setup with a very expensive monitor to match the existing 2. Should be really helpful to have things like Discord or performance info shown there
The first issue is that it's asking for a volume that I renamed. Should be a simple assignment change in the user-startup file
Typically, cards like this were designed for 286 class systems, and featured at MOST 4MB of ram, with the average being around 1-2MB. Didn't really need much more than that for that kind of machine, so it wasn't important to have that much more capacity, but this one is different
It's also very, very progressive for an early 70s album. Tons of synth stuff and whatnot, which is really neat from this era of music. I'm shocked at how popular this album is. The least popular song STILL has 55 million plays. That's unreal!
