I'd love for someone to drop some golden refutation of this, because while I have some minor quibbles this has essentially been the conclusion I have arrived at over the past year. I'm frankly not even certain we will get off Earth as opposed to enforced stagnation. Once a sufficient security apparatus and automated power base is assembled, I don't even see why they would continue UBI as opposed to genocide on the vast majority of humanity.

/x/ is the most funny board on 4chan because 99.999% of it is nothing special, but also I once saw (briefly) an image on there that made me physically recoil, then proceeded to stick like glue in my head and cause me to have streams of horrifying violent imagery for like 3 nights I'm not joking or shitposting or being ironic, this actually happened to me.

I still don't know *why* that particular image did that (the thread had like 30 posts that didn't seem impacted, though I didn't open it), but something about it was literally invasive to my mind.

does therapy just flat out not work on people who have an IQ above 115, all the methods seem incredibly stupid and boil down to "just gaslight yourself until you are convinced that nothing is actually wrong" quite frankly better results could likely be achieved by a properly trained LLM, an AI also wouldn't be incentivised try to scam you for hundreds of dollars per hour
