🚨PLEASE READ🚨: Earlier today, a video recording of a @gmcuk seminar ("Frontline perspectives on integrating PAs and AAs into multidisciplinary teams") was shared onto Reddit. With @AnaesUnited cooking something big, a more strategic time to share the video was planned. (1/15) This seminar was a part of a conference held by the GMC (called GMC Conference 2022). Please note the attendees of this conference included GMC CEO Charlie Massey and acting chair Professor Dame Carrie MacEwen. (2/15)

Yesterday 6pm, the RCPEGM was leaked by an anonymous account onto YouTube. Having watched it, these are some of the most jaw-dropping moments I heard, some not even factually true. Everyone should watch it for themselves though and make up their own mind. Link at the end. First up, Prof Edwards. talks about how PAs cannot work as PAs without having completed the national exams. I attach an FOI request received on the 13th February showing this to not be the case.

I’m going to work extremely hard to hide my resentment and vitriol for some of the leaders of the medical profession and try and address this as simply as I can.

A day 1 doctor is more skilled than a day 1 PA. As such, a doctor’s day 1 pay, should be based on this. Dr. Gerada has been blessed with a long and prosperous life, having enjoyed free education, heavily subsidised accommodation, proper and short training all during a time where her money went much further than an equivalent grade doctor’s would today.

When I first started openly tweeting about the issues the medical profession was facing, just under 24 months ago, I was labelled with various things, but the most relevant were “elitist” and “bully”.

Since then, the same opinions were then upgraded to a “small vocal minority”. These opinions were at the time “controversial”. These included concerns about:

- MAPs supervising medical trainees
- prescribing and scan requests on behalf of MAPs
- erosion of training opportunities
- pay, particularly during early #FPR.

Some of these are now BMA guidance.

This is MP @PhilipDaviesUK. Much like the rest of the Tory party, he hates doctors. However, it seems he hates them even more than his other crony friends. The tweet below is a reply he sent to a doctor who sent him the BMA letter asking him to support the strikes. Image It's...kind of grim. Contents aside, and even if you disagree with the strikes and their motivations, - to speak to one of your constituents in this way is pretty shameful.

So who is Philip Davies? What is his voting record like? How much does he make himself? Let's dissect. Image
