Some immigration officials have concealed their identities while making arrests. DHS says its to avoid doxing. But some videos shared online of arrests show cars w/o plates raising questions of who is removing them & how is it legal

ICE did not respond to individual examples we asked them about regarding missing license plates, or alleged swapping of plates. A spokesperson told me that federal law allows gov cars to be exempt from displaying gov plates if that would interfere with their quote critical duties

NEW: We officially have text of the deal between Biden and McCarthy. Here's what's in it for SNAP:
The bill would phase in an age increase 54. This will be phased in over the course of 3 years. FY 23: to age 50 (as is). FY 24: to age 53. FY25: to age 54. And it sunsets in 2030
There are three new exceptions: Youth aging out of foster care (18-24), and veterans and those experiencing homelessness regardless of age. This also ends 2030.

The Biden admin prioritized “socially disadvantaged” restaurants and bars for the aid, a policy decision that resulted in lawsuits. But even with the prioritizing, the barrier to entry was still to high and this local story helps to show that.
