This tweet went viral and with it came the predictable flood of hate and threats from antisemites. Below are three quick comments:
1) War is tragic. It should be a last resort. Don’t confuse last resort with never resort. Sometimes war is just and necessary.
2) If your humanity doesn’t stretch to innocent civilians everywhere, go and check your moral compass.
All innocent victims of war are equally a personal tragedy, that doesn’t mean everyone is equally morally culpable.

This has been one of the darkest days since October.
We know we have enemies who hate us, who want to murder us, who are pure evil. We’ve always had enemies like that, maybe we always will.
But that doesn’t absolve the Prime Minister of responsibility for his failures.
The fact that we are facing an evil enemy doesn’t excuse his failure and the failure of his government.

After being forcibly exiled from their land, the people kept faith with it throughout their Dispersion and never ceased to pray and hope for their return to it and for the restoration in it of their political freedom.
