Few individuals are fortunate enough to get an opportunity to serve their country in a high office. Even fewer get to do so at my age. By the grace of Allah, not only did I receive this honor, but it has been an incredible two-and-a-half-year journey that I will always cherish. I want to thank PMIK for trusting me with this immense responsibility and allowing me to do justice to my role as the NSA.

The second edition of the Islamabad Security Dialogue (ISD) has concluded successfully. The seven sessions of ISD were centered around the key themes covered in Pakistan’s first National Security Policy released earlier this year. ImageImageImage A wide range of topics came under discussion — from geo-economics to international security, and from challenges and opportunities in international law to human security.

On March 9th, a supersonic projectile from India traveling at 40,000 feet covered over 250 km & landed inside Pakistani territory. It has taken more than 2 days for India to accept that this was their missile launched ostensibly due to a technical malfunction during maintenance. This raises serious questions about India’s ability to handle such sensitive technology. This missile traveled close to the path of international and domestic commercial airlines and threatened the safety of civilians.
