It’s sexual harassment if someone touches you against your will or makes unwanted comments about your genitals/secondary sex characteristics. Period. 🧵 A man groping a woman‘s butt? Minorities can tell jokes about themselves. Non-minorities can tell jokes about minorities. It‘s not about the joke but about the intent. Humor is speech, absurd speech but speech and performance and when you do a joke you also have a message and an intent. To me it seems like too many comedians just hide behind a facade of comedy to protect them from their own bigotry. „It was just a joke!“, while they make another joke about getting cancelled by someone who wants to held them accountable for their speech.

Pls don‘t ever say „Welcome to womanhood“ to a trans woman. It‘s extremely condescending. Imagine her or them saying the same thing to you when someone misgenders you? Would that feel better? „Welcome to transness. That‘s what it‘s like to get harassed for being different than the cishet norm.“

Every time I see parents who love their kids I become really sad and wish my parents would have been like that. It‘s not even about transitioning. It‘s just about love, acceptance and not being gaslit or being called the „black sheep“ in the family. I dunno what I did wrong. Was it because of my autism or bc I‘m trans?
