@quackitude @tracesoffaith Longer explanation, might make more sense in the context. I think like all parables you can plumb the depths and never discover all the wisdom contained in them. In this specific one, I think on the surface it appears like Jesus is speaking of wisdom/ advice, @quackitude @tracesoffaith but I think if you cross reference it with other scripture he is speaking of his brethren in Matthew 25.

At the request of (more like inspired by) a brother and friend, wanted to write a quick thread on a sentiment I’ve seen lately in the commentary on the Olympic thread. Namely, I’ve read much outrage and calls to arms, and opposing them I’ve seen many insist “God does not need to be defended” I wanted to hone in on that last statement a bit, especially in light of world events.
