Our opening image is our nameless heroine standing while staring into the camera. It's a cool image, but we immediately cut to her running away from camera looking over her shoulder.

We immediately alienate the audience by obliterating any sense of shared geography of the space.

No joke, I teach this movie in my screenwriting class. Structurally it’s perfect. Every joke has a second shoe. All 8 sequences have clear breaks. How do you not cry at the end? I appreciate all the love for A Knight’s Tale. Here’s a breakdown for all my writers that are structure nerds like me.
