The unlikelihood of giving your 2nd year 6th round pick emergency 3 quarterback the keys the following year has become a lot more likely with just how limited the Steelers options are in 2026. Might feel different after the predraft process is done but for now ya start Howard.
Or at least give him an honest camp competition. Could be with a rookie (again need to let predraft process unfold) or a middle of the road veteran.
