Miss Marley also known as bowl cat died in my arms last night.
She was the kindest, softest, most beautiful cat I have ever had the pleasure of accompanying through life. She was an adult when she arrived on the farm, her owner emigrated to Australia.
A threaded tribute She had an interest in helping in the garden.

Ok I know she is my dog and all but, Inca the world’s smallest sheepdog, @WSheepdog has just hit legendary status in my eyes. Darkness had fallen when I was about to feed ewes their evening meal. A misty rain had started to fall. I flicked the yard lights on when I heard Inca whine and bark over at a water tank. I knew a rat was cornered. She doesn’t whine if it’s a mouse.

This ewe is lambing but she has a bit of a problem so needs my help. She has what’s called ring womb. This mean her back passage has a portion that’s not opened out correctly. So I must massage it open with my fingers to get the lamb out

I had a fantastic visit from biologest @Johnfinn310 We both have a passion for #DungBeetles. My interest is in their professional life as soil improvers & livestock parasite controllers. While John is an expert as he researched & wrote a thesis about them. Here @Johnfinn310 talks about 2 varieties one which is abundant across Ireland that nestles under dung to lay their eggs. While the big Dor #DungBeetle digs a hole buries vast amounts of dung underground. I was interested to learn that the Dor is considered quite rare in Ireland
