It’s about crops and fertilizers, famines and pests. It’s all fantasy, but firmly based on reality which is what makes it to fascinating. Image In Kōkun we have an empire that sustains its power by monopolizing a type of fertilizer. The vassal states grow crops that are very robust, but need the fertilizer – making them very dependent on the empire’s distribution.
