NEW: TikTok content moderators in Colombia have to scroll through child abuse + gang violence – while being aggressively surveilled themselves.

One ex-moderator, paid $10/day, told me she was required to keep her webcam on all night. In @TIME @TBIJ time.com/6223340/tiktok… Moderators work six days a week for wages just barely scraping minimum wage. Many said that the job was intensely traumatizing, and the company's mental health support scheme is lacking.
