Language, thought and life form an irreducible unity.

Languages are living organisms. Infinitely complex, but organisms nevertheless. They have in them a certain life-force, and certain powers of absorption and growth. Like organisms, they also decay… and die. Voices are, perhaps, the most manifestly and directly reflexive powers were adorned with. The possibility of duplicity—of doubling and even concealing the doubling can’t be excluded.

But when you speak with your own voice, or even attest that it’s your voice that is speaking…

1. ANY MEANING, at all, be it of the sacred, profane, hypotheses, any categories and whatnot arise from that of the contemplating mind’s archetypal encounter with “nature” as you call it.

Telescoping it to only the sacred is to miss a point that’s positively abyssal in size. An “indifferent” universe is a wild, gratuitous assumption, even given our current knowledge of Quantum Mechanics which highlights the debates between Schrödinger and Heisenberg on the role of the observer.

Let’s consider an example from physics.

1. A ball dropped from the top of a tower falls straight to the ground and lands at the tower’s base.

From #1 observable “fact”, Aristotelian-Ptolemaic geocentric cosmology can be affirmed, that is, the earth isn’t rotating on its axis. OTOH, Galileo, Newton, and Copernicus interpret the same fact differently. Qua the principle of inertia, if the ball was already moving eastward with the Earth at the moment of release, it would continue moving eastward at the same velocity, keeping pace with the tower.

This isn’t an intellectual stance. It’s a cop-out mechanism. Skepticism is a kind of relativism, it reduces all element of absoluteness to doubtfulness; while making illogical exception for skepticism itself.

It nullifies itself because if true; by its own method, it can’t prove itself to be true but a good legerdemain by its wielder.

The atrocious banality of this take.

Data or statistics can’t establish a one-way causation of the proposed effect.

More precisely, one set of data is open to multiple interpretations, oftentimes, leading to diametrically opposed conclusions.

Classic post-hoc ergo propter hoc. More importantly, personal experiences does INVALIDATES data.

Data are abstracted from personal experiences, it detaches the subjectivity from the experience
(objectivisation) and abstracts experiences in the most general terms— numbers(quantity devoid of quality & meaning).

Ah, the liberal fiction. The promise was that of neutral institutions that would allow for a society free of competing moral visions.

The conflicts around essential questions about religion/ultimate meaning could be put aside allowing different groups to work together in the marketplace.

What a dream.

You kept mentioning “training” as a magic word, so perhaps, I should give you a genesis of how it started, where it went wrong, and where your assumptions are wrong and the pain this sort of misconceptions/miscommunication caused fellows.

The way you put it, it seems you are... seeing Andela is a one-way street, they only do favors for the fellows, and the fellows put it 0 or no effort.

Andela actually started a training school, they took in young Nigerians with little or no programming experience and trained them for software development, heck...
