Problem with MP allocation: we treat MPs like they’re local councils and welfare officers

The allocation is supposed to fund their offices and workers, and a bit of miscellaneous items, not more

In other words, most of that allocation should go to local councils/states/agencies Because we (meaning the voters) have that expectations, MPs want big allocation, more than they should have, to fulfill those expectations

Early state election thoughts:

1 PH-led fed govt will survive this

2 PH will need to appeal to their base more, instead of having lowly crytros talking down to the base 3 PH will need to continue convincing its base to work with BN

4 BN people need to prove themselves to PH base. So far, it’s PH that’s been doing all the compromising

5 BN should be happy with the results. Could have been worse without PH, even with low transferability

I wanted to have Roff’s The Origins of Malay Nationalism as my next read, but since it hasn’t arrived, I’ll go with this book first: Harper’s The End of Empire and the Making of Malaya Judging from the font, this will be a difficult read
