With Carl Tamayo abdicating his throne as the King Maroon in favor of becoming a Ryukyu Golden King, it's time to go on a trip down memory lane.

We'll talk about how Carl did damage on the floor and why he was the most unique talent to suit up for the Fighting Maroons.

The Ryukyu Golden Kings are among the top teams in the B.League.

Carl will team up with the immaculately named Jack Cooley, former PBA import Allen Durham, and Josh Duncan.

Among the locals, Keita Imamura, Ryuichi Kishimoto, and Koh Flippin stand out to me. These are the points of improvement I want to see from Carl in the pros:

1. Shooting consistency (his jumper from 3 and the line can be erratic at times)
2. Quicker decision making
3. Continued improvement in terms of perimeter defense

First post-game thread of #UAAPSeason84 and it's about UP-UST because the Tigers hurt my feelings in the first half. UST went up by double digits at one point early in the game despite not appearing to be as talented on paper. Why? They shot really well and UP was kind of bad on defense.

This one's a quickie (relatively lol). It's mostly a semi-coherent film/stat review of the game which led me to ask two important questions that could decide how the season looks like for the pair of teams. For Ateneo, it's how well they can play when Ange sits. Losing Isaac is huge for them as he was an effective reliever.

In this game, with Ange on, Ateneo had a 77.9 DRTG (a bit better than their S82 mark). When he sat, UP was effectively winning and they had a 156.1 DRTG.
