Happy to hear that Square is buying Afterpay for $126 a share. We first invested back in 2017 at $2. We took some profits along the way but nonetheless a big win for our clients. (1/n) What we saw at the beginning was a business that had come from nowhere to claim 15% of all Aussie online apparel sales. User growth was 1,100% year-on-year and merchant growth was 75% in the latest quarter. The business clearly had escape velocity. (2/n)
