I think he is fundamentally not wrong but fails to see (or mention) some nuances:

🧵 A) it’s not true that 12 developers do sort of a central planing. There are hundreds of mailing list subscribers, experts who discuss changes over month before writing a single line of code.

I decided to step down as Bitcoin Core maintainer and contributor.

The last years where amazing and I coded, discussed and learned so much!

I started contributing in 2013 and went full time in 2015. What a ride!

But now, it’s time for me to move on.

The Bitcoin project is in the best hands possible. There are so many great Bitcoin projects going on right now.
