At 2023 Taipei International Comics & Animation Festival last weekend, WIT Studio co-founder Nakatake Tetsuya said that production is working hard on S2 + movie right now, and hopes to release both in the Fall 2023 season!

SakuAtsu Royalty AU in which they are princes betrothed from birth, but have never met.
On the month of their wedding, both disguise themselves as commoners and escape, protesting the betrothal.
Somewhere between their two lands - a chance encounter as their false selves.
They bicker, and glare, and grow ever suspicious of each other's poorly conceived backstories. But companionship trumps lonesome journeys across towns unknown.
On the back of both their minds, the inevitability of being caught; on the front, the inevitability of a fall.
