Quite a few things to let steam off for, especially in view of the Indian team that’s been picked for the tour of Australia & safe to say, while I’m no expert & am just a regular fan who loves the game as much as any other, there’re more than a few things that 1️⃣ Have either made me happy or have shocked me downright...and this’ll be a long thread, so please bear with my rant & also offer your views, because that’s what makes this game so much more interesting for us:

The Positives:
•Selection of Mohammad Siraj in the Test Side: -

Okay. So there are several reasons why the College has not even bothered to respond to you Madam @suchitrav:

1. Your “complaint” is actually quite a worthless one to be absolutely dead honest, because the conduct of @AvnishKSingh2 in his interaction with you was as dignified 1️⃣ As it could be & not even once did he or any other student “harass” you for your views, but instead in the politest of languages, called you out for what your views truly are worth, which is a humongous pile of rat droppings.

2. Calling a communist as one is definitely not 2️⃣

This piece by @fwildecricket & @timwig is a great demonstration of how & why @mipaltan has had the number of Chennai Super Kings. The extensive use of data, analytics & the matchups they derive from the crunching of the copious amounts of data has always given them (1/n) The edge over Chennai Super Kings. A prime example of the way Mumbai have used data & matchups to take down the Yellow Army especially at Fort Chepauk can be gleaned on from last year in their 2 clashes at that venue. In the round-robin clash at Chepauk, MI played (2/n)

The key for the success of any organisation, be it a sports team or an office, is how much respect is accorded to those who are a part of it. When employees or sportspersons (in a sporting side) are respected not just as mere employees, but also as people, they feel (1/n) A greater degree of responsibility & also a pride to take their team to the pinnacle. In the IPL, Kolkata Knight Riders & the Mumbai Indians have been noted highly in this regard, for the kind of support they’ve extended towards their players over the years. KKR have (2/n)

I’m really happy to see that my “best friend” can actually talk sense for a change...I’m so pleased to discover that he actually has a brain that can work (Made in China material hoga, but at least, it can work on occasions)...as a lawyer, I actually am happy to see (1/n) That the Hon’ble Supreme Court actually managed to play fox in a situation when it was thought by all of us, including me (even though my thoughts don’t account for much), that the Court may have to back down on the sentencing for the Prashant Bhushan judgement (2/n)

We all know how legendary #RahulDravid was as a test batsman, but what all of us probably fail to appreciate is how accomplished he was in the coloured clothing & the 50-over format...Dravid right through his career as an ODI player, had to fight against the image (1/n) Of him being a test batsman & thus unsuitable to playing the shorter formats...that meant that since his ODI debut in ‘96 against Sri Lanka in the Singapore Challenge Cup till the ‘99 tour of New Zealand, he found himself constantly being shuttled in or out of the squad (2/n)
