We sent a letter to @MoCoCouncilMD about the Pedestrian Master Plan. ACT is pleased that @MoCoCouncilMD is moving forward expeditiously on the outstanding Pedestrian Master Plan proposed by @montgomeryplans, & we believe that it is a terrific document.

ACT is deeply concerned about WMATA's severe cutbacks in bus and rail service, which go far beyond the actions of other transit agencies in the region and elsewhere in the country. 1/5 Transit is a lifeline for workers who provide medical care, food supply, and other essential services and residents who need access to health care and groceries.
Workers are being deprived of transit access to essential jobs. Bus route shutdowns and shortened hours are 2/5

There have been 57 police-reported crashes with non-motorists on Old Georgetown Rd since 1/1/15. 24 🚴‍♀️, 30 🚶‍♀️, 3 other.

42% of non-motorists struck on Old Georgetown Rd are people on bikes.

County-wide 21% of non-motorists struck are 🚴‍♀️.

1. There is demand for🚲routes on Old Georgetown Rd.

We need a plan NOW for protected🚲routes AND wider sidewalks on Old Georgetown Rd.
