Where is the N500 billion Tinubu Secured for Fuel Subsidy Palliative in 2023?

Just one year in, everyone seems to have forgotten and moved on from the much taunted fuel subsidy removal palliative which Tinubu got N500 billion for, last year.

Not surprising, anyways, it’s in our character as Nigerians to bury our minds in trends and shut our memories away from the past that needs to be revisited.

Yet, we wonder why these unthinking kleptomaniacs we call political leaders commit the most unthinkable cr!minal acts and give no damn!

Anyways, to the story…Image So, on 12th July, 2023, exactly 1 month and 14 days after he was sworn in as “President,” Tinubu wrote to both chambers of the National Assembly to seek for approval to withdraw N500 billion from the 2022 Supplementary Budget.

Buhari’s govt prepared the Supplementary budget specifically for capital projects to tackle both road infrastructure and flooding issues. The total amount of the budget was about N819.536 billion. The period the budget would run was extended till December 31st, 2023.

Tinubu didn’t give details of the Programme to the National Assembly. He just said he wanted to remove N500 billion (from the money meant for Capital projects) to fund his palliative Programme.

This is Senator Karimi…He Represents the Rot in the National Assembly.

Here’re the Details and Truth…

So, this is the second time I’m watching this video and it still feels so insensitive, insulting, and surreal.

But is it surprising? Absolutely not. At best, the video vividly depicts the nature, mindset, personality, and status of an average Nigerian politician, particularly the so-called cr!minally-minded Honourables at the National Assembly. For context, Senator Sunday Karimi Steve is the man representing the Kogi West senatorial district. He won the 2023 National Assembly elections for the Senate. More like he was used to replace Senator Smart Adeyemi, who obviously fell out with “the powers that be” and was taken out on the premise of rotation.”

However, before Karimi won the Senate seat, he had buried his a$$ at the House of Reps from 2011-2019 (for 8 years), doing exactly “nothing meaningful.” He shabbily represented the Yagba Federal ConstituencyImage

There’s an “unseen hand” f!ghting Wike and it’s not Gov Sim Fubara.

Let’s review this…

So since the Sim Fubara and Wike f!ght started, a majority of us have observed with the wrong lens. We think it’s just a f!ght between a political godfather and his godson. But this perception is flawed.

Maybe, we are too immersed in the controversially captivating “melodrama” that we throw away our “logic cap.”

Well, Tinubu is the “unseen hand” in the f!ght and here’s why…

Tinubu is bent on stripping the powers of Wike, detaching him from his political base, and rendering him useless in Rivers state.

The end-point is to ensure that Wike lives at his mercy so that he can be a proper “errand boy” (with the likes of Sanwo-Olu). Same script is playing in Kano, against Ganduje and in Kaduna, against El-Rufai.Image So, he gives these guys an illusion that they’d get federal backing. And then they go into the f!ght with this “over bloated ego.” Then, he removes himself. And they get a “stinker-brutal” fall.

Maybe, the smartest person is El-Rufai, who hasn’t fully launched a public f!ght against his stooge, Gov Sani…for obvious reasons.

Lest we forget, Tinubu is a “power-monger mafian.” Part of the characters shared by most powerful “Mafia bosses” like Aniello Dellacroce, are dominance, controlled impulsivity, narcissistic, egocentric personality. These traits can be easily traced in Tinubu.

Like how these “mafia bosses or godfathers” operate, he doesn’t and will never want “powerful men” around him. Everyone around him must submit to his “absolute dominance and control.” They only way to ensure this is to “strip them of their powers.”

New VP Residence for Shettima vs The U.S. VP Residence: How Tinubu’s Govt is Wasteful and W!cked!

Here are the facts…

The latest worm to creep out of the “can of worms” in Tinubu’s govt is the newly-commissioned Vice President house, built for Shettima.

The date was June 7th. Tinubu, flanked by his enablers - Godswill Akpabio, Wike, and others - “proudly” commissioned the N21 billion Vice President’s Residence. The house bow becomes the official residence of the Vice Presidents of Nigeria. Shettima is yet to move in.

Some details about the new residence…Image
Image
The house which is located at the “Three Arms Zone,” in Aso Rock, was initiated and started in 2010, by Goodluck Jonathan. At the time, it was awarded for N7 billion. The contractor was Julius Berger.

Osibanjo confirmed that the building was 85% completed before Jonathan left office in 2015. N6 billion had already been spent on it. What remained were some exterior touches and interior furnishing. Picture proof👇

It’s worth empathizing that Nigeria already has an official and a very befitting residence for the Vice President. That’s the Akinola Aguda House - that’s where Shettima currently lives.Image

Here’s the Full Gist…Very Interesting!

So, today, Episode 3 of the blockbuster movie “The Struggle for the Soul of Kano Emirate” premiered -in Kano and Abuja.

The movie features two political gladiators - Current Governor, Abba Yusuf and his the Former Gov, Umar Ganduje.

But before we delve deeper, let’s establish the background to the story….

Recall, on the 23rd, Gov Abba Yusuf instructed his loyalists at the Kano state House of Assembly to nullify the law that Ganduje used to remove Emir Sanusi and divide his Emirate into 5, in 2020. Ganduje replaced Emir Sanusi ll with Emir Ado Bayero.

The House of Assembly members (abi puppets) did as instructed. They passed a new law that removed Emir Bayero, reinstated Emir Sanusi, and shut down the other 4 Emirates.

While his dethronement was going on, Emir Bayero was in Ogun state for an official visit - more like the the same drama that happened in July, 1975 when Murtala Muhammed overthrew Gowon while he was attending OAU summit in Kampala.

But from Ogun state, Emir Ado Bayero was actively playing the game. With Ganduje’s influence, he quickly approached the Federal High Court in Kano. And they “arranged” one judgement that ordered Gov Abba Yusuf and his govt not to enforce the new Emirate Council Law. Of course, as expected, Gov Abba Yusuf got the judgement and thrashed it to the bin - where he thinks it belongs.

So, it’s not surprising that the next day, 24th May, the Governor rushed to sign the new law and organized a swearing-in ceremony for Sanusi. There he gave him a “Letter of Appointment.”

Seeing that their attempt to stop Gov Abba Yusuf, through the court, failed, Ganduje and Emir Bayero arranged some political jobbers to stage a protest at both the National Assembly and Aso Villa, in Abuja. The group called itself “Northern Nigeria Peace and Development Foundation,” headed by one Abdullahi Saleh. This was while the swearing-in ceremony for Emir Sanusi was ongoing in Kano.

The National Assembly members seem not interested in getting involved. Tinubu, too, doesn’t want to get fully involved - he definitely needs both factions for 2027.

Swearing-in ceremony is done and dusted, Sanusi quickly moved into the palace, Gidan Rumfa at Kofar Kudu while Emir Ado Bayero was still in Ogun state. On Saturday, he ended his visit and returned to Kano. But to avoid “royal embarrassment,” he headed to a mini palace in Nassarawa Local Govt, Kano.

Is the N200 billion Tinubu’s govt are proposing for the “National Geodata Centre” a big fr@ud?

Here’s the truth…

So, on May 24th, Tinubu’s Ministers were presenting scorecard of what they have achieved in their various ministries, since the Tinubu “regime” started. I think, about 11 ministers presented that day.

It got to the turn of Mr Dele Alake, who is the Minister of Solid Minerals Development. As expected, he didn’t have much” scores” on his own “cards.” But one major thing he did was to announce to the public that he had prepared a ₦200 billion budget to build a National Geodata Centre (which he called “big data”) for the mining sector.

My thinking is that, to make his “fat l!e” believable, he had to cleverly use the words “big data.” At least, it matches up with the outrageous (N200 billion) budget.

Or it could be that he chose the words to confuse the public - you’ll understand “why” later…just keep reading.

For context, the National Geodata centre is responsible for collecting and preserving geoscientific data and information on Nigeria, making them available for the long-term to a wide range of users and communities. But the actual target beneficiaries are mining, geoscientists, local and international investors, academics and researchers.

Now, let’s divert a little…Image While explaining his scorecards, Oga Dele Alake said that his Ministry has set up a mining company for the government called “Nigerian Solid Minerals Corporation.”

However, Oga Alake said that the private sector will have more shares in the company - 25% of the shares will be reserved for govt, 25% for the public, and a whopping 50% for private investors - and you know what this means, right? “Na dem dem.”

With this revelation, does it not look like we will be having a new version of the corrupt!on-tainted NNPC…?

And come to think of it, how come a mining company is set up by Alake’s ministry and no Nigerian media is aware of and reported it?

The only news relating to setting up a mining company came out on May 17th, this year, when Dele Alake wrote to the 36 state governors in the Governors’ Forum, asking them to immediately set up mining companies in their states and apply for mining licenses.

It irks me that most Nigerians don’t understand the Nigerian set up…

Nigeria, as is currently set up, isn’t designed to promote intelligence, creativity and ingenuity of Nigerians. It’s a system designed to deplete, diminish, and when possible, k!ll her own citizens.

Take for instance, the story by this poster. In the previous year, the sister scored 284 in Jamb. She couldn’t gain Admission into her preferred school. In the coming year, she studied harder and got a highly impressive score of 300+ - yet, no admission. But a Sodiq from one of the so-called “23 Educationally Less Privileged” states who manages to score 200 will be given admission - because of Quota System.

Now, if critically analyzed, this system doesn’t favour both the girl and Sodiq. On her part, she’s being denied access to education and discouraged from pursuing further. On the part of Sodiq, he’s being rewarded for poor academic performance and encouraged to be a mediocre.

For broader context, here’s how Nigerian Universities admissions go:

Category 1: this is where the top 45% highest scores in the UTME are supposed to be admitted. But, rather the children of the VC, members of the school Senate, and other top school officials with “long legs” are admitted, regardless of whether they’re even close to being qualified - hence, reducing the number of qualified applicants in the Top 45% category.

Here’re the details and Truth…

So, Engr. Dave Umahi suspiciously called for a Stakeholders Meeting for the Lagos-Calabar Coastal line for the 3rd time, in Lagos, to announce that Tinubu’s govt will no longer continue with the realignment for the Lagos-Calabar coastal line.

He said the reason to stop the realignment is that there are submarine (network) cables along the coastline that supply network, which are owned by telecoms. If the work proceeds, it will cut into the cables and affect network supply across the country.

Now, asides from the outrageous cost of this Lagos-Coastal coastal line, the major crisis surrounding the project was the demolition of Landmark beach and other multi-million Naira businesses around the coastal line in Lagos, due to the realignment.

It happened that the original design for the project didn’t include Landmark and these other businesses that were demolished. But, all of a sudden, Umahi and his team came up with another design that encroached on these business areas and marked them for demolition. If you recall, during the 2nd stakeholders meeting, a female journalist challenged Umahi to present the Environmental Impact assessment (EIA) approval for the project. Umahi stammered and reluctantly said it’d be made available to the public, later.

For context, the EIA simply means a report that assesses the impact the project will have on the environment before it kicks off. So, if the report was available, everyone will see the impact of the coastal highway on the areas where it will cut across.

But, during today’s stakeholders meeting, Umahi made a u-turn and said that the plan would not be revealed to Nigerians anymore.

He cited the part of the Freedom of Information bill that gives the govt power to keep some certain information from the public.

Now, this is very funny and suspicious because the demolition of Landmark beach and the other businesses is a public matter that has direct impact on the public. So, why hide the EIA from the public when the information it contains is of huge public concern?

Here’s what happened…

So, the House of Reps broke the record for passing the fastest bill in Nigeria history. In few minutes, the bill went through the First, Second, and Third Readings - in such a very suspicious speed!

At the same time, the Senate passed the bill through the First and Second Readings, and then quickly pushed it to the Senate Committee on Judiciary, Human Rights and Legal Matters to review and report back to the house in two weeks.

Why the rush?…one can’t exactly say. But let’s review the details and unveil the truth. So, at Independence, the British Colonial th!eves saw Nigerians as kids with dull brains, who don’t have the creativity to write and compose their own anthem. So, they reached out to their own, Lillian Jean William to write Nigeria’s anthem. After he wrote it, they contracted Frances Berda to compose the writing into music.

Nigerians, whom the anthem was made for, had no input or participation whatsoever. But they had to take the anthem and sing it - if they wanted independence.

People say the anthem sounds like it mocks Nigeria sef. Others say it provokes Nigeria’s differences even more.

For instance, some lines in the anthem read;

“Though tribe and tongue may differ”
“In brotherhood we stand.”

The anthem didn’t do much to provoke the “spirit of brotherhood.” In fact, Nigerians sang it with lip service. Some Nigerians didn’t agree to sing at all.

The Devil is in the Details….here’s the hidden truth about this story…

So, on June 8, 2014, Emir Sanusi ll became the Emir of Kano - after Jonathan “suspended” him from the CBN. Al-Haji  Ado Bayero had d!ed and he was considered a worthy heir to the revered throne.

The governor of Kano at that time was Kwankwaso. He was a strong ally of Sanusi. Sanusi fell out with President Goodluck Jonathan and fought against his second term bid. Kwankwaso and other northern PDP chieftains were very vocal and audaciously worked against Jonathan too.

So, Kwankwaso and Sanusi shared the same political views and ideologies hence, they were tied to the same “political movement” - it was easy to make Sanusi the Emir. Sanusi ruled until March 2020, when he was dethroned by Fmr. Gov Ganduje. Why was he dethroned?

Ganduje, who served as Deputy Governor to Kwankwaso in his two tenures, fell out with his former boss. This stirred serious tensions and strains among the political elites in Kano state. Emir Sanusi took sides with Kwankwaso. This triggered Ganduje.

Sanusi, who’s known to be vociferous and fierce in criticism of anyone or govt he’s not in support of, waged w@r-of-words against Ganduje. He criticized his policies, and of course, the obvious kleptomaniac (corrupt) system Ganduje operated.

The last straw that broke the camel’s back was the defiant f!ght Sanusi put up to deny Ganduje access to a $1.8 billion loan he requested. Ganduje had had enough and he was bent on striking back.

To give this context, I’ll share my personal experience.

My Ex had “moved on” from the relationship even while we were discussing the bride price list.

It’s on a Monday, in the second week of January, 2021. Pretty much a hot evening (clocking past 7 pm). I had just returned from work, still sweaty and fagged out - Lagos traffic dealt me a heavy blow that evening.

As I was to hit the bathroom, my phone rang and it’s her! We hadn’t spoken for about three weeks - cos of a misunderstanding (that she caused).

I picked the phone and stared for a few seconds. First thing that rushed through my mind, “hmmm…this one you’re calling me today, you finally want to apologize.” So, I picked - with this hyped ego. Her voice sounded differently than usual. This time, much softer and calmer.

She proceeds… “good evening.” I responded, reluctantly and also expectantly.

Next thing I heard, “not to waste any time. I called to inform you that I’ll be getting married in March.” This time, her voice sounded loud and unconcerned. I had to pretend like I didn’t hear her. “You said…?” I asked to be reassured.

She repeated it and followed it up with “hope you can move on now. Take care of yourself.” I was still trying to find words to respond an she hung up!”

This is a w!cked strategy CBN wants to use and st£al from Bureau De Change people and here’s why…

So, yesterday, Cardoso’s CBN sent out a circular to Bureau De Change (BDC) operators across Nigeria instructing them to do a fresh application for their operation.

For context, BDCs we’re talking about aren’t those Abokis you see on the streets of Lagos, Abuja, and other major towns across Nigeria who will always drag your shirt when you’re passing and shout “Dollar, Pounds, Euros.” It is their Oga “kpatakpata” who bears Alhaji or Mr Emeka or Femi, who sits in the office, with his big belle, always making calls (confirming rates and all).

BDC have two tiers or categories. Category (Tier) 1 is bigger than Category (Tier) 2. It’s more like the difference between commercial banks and Microfinance banks. Both don’t have the same capacity.

Back to the story…Image
Image
Every BDC has a license that the CBN gave them to operate. That license is renewed every year. The amount to renew the license is just N5k for Tier 1 and N1k for Tier 2.

But if you want to start a BDC, you’ll need to register it with the CBN. Part of the requirements to register is that; you’ll have a capital of N2 million if it’s Tier 1 and a capital of N500k if it’s Tier 2. The capital is the amount you have in your account to start the business.

Now, here’s how this Cardoso’s CBN wants to th!ef…

So, rather than allow the BDCs to simply renew their license like they do yearly with just N5k for Tier 1 and N1k for Tier 2, the CBN is terminating the licenses of all the BDC operators and mandating them to do fresh registration.

Peter Obi is like a double edged sword.

Here’s how.👇 In 2002, when Peter Obi was campaigning to be governor in Anambra, he was almost twice as gentle and humble as he is today.

He so humbly consulted both the kings and kingmakers in Anambra. Yet, he aggressively sold his message directly to the people of Anambra on the mantra…
