I think online can be π£π¦π΅π΅π¦π³ for networking than in-person.
Networking in each space is π±πΆπ³π³π²πΏπ²π»π. Not better or worse.
Why? π§΅:
Say you're at an event. Who do you talk to?
Everybody?
How long do you have to talk to someone?
A minute or two?
At an event with 150 people you'd need 5 hours to talk with everyone for TWO minutes each.
That doesn't scale. Your connections are down to chance.

Thoughts on permanent exit from the pandemic. A thread.
I keep having conversations with friends and family about "when do you think the pandemic will end?"
Here's when.
Note - I am not a doctor nor do I play one on TV. This is a thought experiment.
To make a permanent exit, the cost of treating those with severe COVID must be low.
That means we need:
- a healthy population with no underlying conditions (hard)
- know who will have bad outcomes b/c of genetics, etc. (Also hard)
