One Sunday evening in 2007 in DC, I had returned a rental car with my wife and two small daughters & we were walking from Union Station to our 1-bedroom apartment on New Jersey SE. The toddler was still strapped in her car seat, balanced on the stroller I was pushing.
1/ The car seat was doing just fine, balanced on the front of her stroller, until I hit a bump in the sidewalk in front of the Senate Office Bldgs. My poor little daughter, still strapped into the car seat, went flying and landed face first on the pavement.

Today someone called my office for advice about what to tell a Soldier with a "confederate" flag on his car. My advice was that, as an Army officer, he needs to infom the SM of Lee's order to surrender, and should accept the SM's surrender.
1/ The officer needs to take the SM's rifles, but can let the SM keep his sidearm. Once the SM has signed a note of parole acknowledging the United States' lawful authority and promising not to take up arms against the US government, the SM can be sent home.
