this convo re:Motaz wasn’t even about if the perspective he documented regarding Hamas is ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ (whatever that means rn), but about the fact that some of you clearly don’t think Palestinians are competent enough to govern or make sense of their internal affairs. 1/25 Given the apocalypse befalling Gaza rn, there are going to be a nontrivial amount of folks who don’t think the al Aqsa Flood was ‘worth it’ (using that terminology loosely here btw), esp if they’ve had entire branches of their family tree martyred before their very eyes. 2/25
