Breaking in Denmark: From 10th September, Covid 19 will no longer be regarded as a ‘societally-critical’ illness and therefore *all* restrictions will end in Denmark.

This is very big news here, decision taken last night by Danish government’s coalition parties. Danish minister of health declares Covid ‘under control’ and vaccinations at ‘record high’ levels, with R rate under 1. Daily deaths have been on average 0-3 for many months.

On a Danish train (again), 325km journey, 3.5 hours, standard 1-way ticket bought online few days ago 198kr (£22), walk-on price 388kr (£44), wide carriage, clean, comfortable, quiet, free wifi, State-owned/run DSB (Danish State Railway). Nationalised, high standards, affordable.
Walk-on ticket (I checked, just for curiosity’s sake): 388 kr (£44). Standard class
