Earlier today, the prosecution urged the jury to consider no less than 40 years. Armstrong is eligible for parole after serving half of her sentence or 30 years, whichever comes first. The jury deliberated for about 3.5 hours.
The hearing today is slightly delayed due to heavy traffic in Austin from the funeral of APD Officer Jorge Pastore. The courtroom is open to the public but the jury has not yet arrived. Neither has Armstrong.

There is a lot of positive energy in the courtroom this morning. It's as if people can feel this trial is coming to a close. The Wilson family seems in good spirts as they make their rounds, chatting and hugging friends.
Next Witness: Pamela Mazak, Criminal Intelligence Analyst, Cold Case and Missing Persons Unit, Texas Attorney General's Office.
Kaitlin Armstrong has entered the courtroom wearing her grey pantsuit and Carolina Blue blouse. She takes her seat next to her defense team and quietly chats with them. Armstrong's parents are in the courtroom. The Wilson family is not in attendance yet. In fact, there is a sizable absence of Wilson supporters who normally occupy the first three rows behind the prosecution.

I'll pick up my live tweeting today with the first witness following lunch: Brandi Standfield, DA's office, Digital Forensic Unit.
We begin this morning with Mr. Brian Bell, VP of Global communications from Strava. He was testifying yesterday and sharing data from the days up to and on the murder. He said there was data that showed Kaitlin Armstrong checking in and watching Mo Wilson's activity.
Detective Spitler is still on the stand. He is taking about his interview with Strickland. He says that he was initially suspicious of Strickland but it became clear to him that it fit the profile of a witness, not a suspect.
Off to a delayed start today. 9:21am: Kaitlin Armstrong enters the courtroom wearing a black pantsuit and white collared blouse. She greets her attorneys and chats quietly with them with a smile. She nods along with whatever they are discussing.

Defense has no more questions. State redirect:

First afternoon witness: Kaeli Arhelger, lives in #ATX.
Next witness: Sgt. Timothy Price, Austin Police Department. Officer at APD for 14 years.
Yesterday we heard from Mo Wilson's brother, Matthew. Also Caitlin Cash, the friend who found Mo's body and called 911. Also various first responders who arrived on scene, performed life saving measures and collected evidence.
The state re-calls Caitlin Cash back to the witness stand. Asks if she is familiar with Mo's treatment for cleaning her bike. Mo would clean it after every heavy ride and before putting it back in a bag. Bike costs somewhere between $10k-$13k.
The family of Mo Wilson just walked in and is sitting in the front row behind the prosecutors. Court documents reveal in 2021, Mo Wilson got caught up in a love triangle between herself, Armstong and professional cyclist Colin Strickland. Wilson was shot and killed May 2022.
Judge has taken his post. #BryanKohberger has also taken his seat. Kohberger offers a very faint smile, maybe more of an acknowledgement, to his defense attorney when he enters. The defense calls its next witness, Gabriella Vargas, to the stand.
