I am aware that claims such as this one serve as sort of morale boost for all those heavy impacted areas, but claims such 800 vehicles, 60 planes, etc. makes officials look like clowns.

It is more concerning that official Ukraine accounts have started doing it. That way you can only loose credibility and become notorious same way as Russian Ministry of Defense is now.

You don't want to become something that you are fighting against.

Potentially a very large pocket of Ukraine troops could be closed around Kramatorsk, Severodonetsk and Slovyansk. Keep them there knowing that it's a lost battle or move them west to help defenses ? This is probably one of the conflicts where it is hardest to establish who controls what, that's why any analysis is very difficult.
