EPA and NHTSA cannot regulate greenhouse gas emissions or fuel efficiency from cargo trailers like these because they're not "self-propelled," CADC rules bit.ly/31LF5Ky The Obama-era rule required a 9 percent fuel use reduction by 2027 by making trailers more aerodynamic. Given how much time tractor-trailers spend on the road, that could have been significant savings.
