The decision about whether or not to prescribe puberty blockers to trans children should be made by an appropriately trained medical professional, after a comprehensive assessment.
Healthcare should be led by evidence. There’s currently a lack of evidence on the use of puberty blockers in gender affirming healthcare. Lack of evidence makes clinical decisions more difficult. We need more evidence.
A blanket ban on puberty blockers is the wrong approach.

These empty shelves at the Lerwick Tesco this evening are the result of just a few days’ disruption in our food supply.

Shetland hasn’t had cargo from the UK mainland for 3 days and the supermarkets feel like ghost towns. There were no green vegetables apart from this one manky cabbage.
