Had a really interesting discussion with my father-in-law yesterday about the use of phones, and he was saying how much the young and old generations have become so hooked onto it that it’s become their whole life. They’ve forgotten the importance of salah and relationships because they have a whole tv that fits inside their pocket.

And he mentioned a story that, subhanaAllah, sent chills down my spine even though i’d heard of it before, a long time a go.

It’s a story of a girl who passed away, in Ramadhan. When the time came to give her a ghusl

Prophetic drinks 📌 One of the drinks the Prophet ﷺ used to have was something called ‘nabeedh.’

Nabeedh is typically a drink made out of dates or raisins and soaked in water for a few hours.

The last 4 aayaat of Surah Fajr is beautiful in the way Allah describes the soul of the believer and the status He will attain in the Hereafter. It’s a profound shift from the previous verses as those verses talk about how a person who has sinned and invested more for their dunya rather than their aakhirah, will see hell-fire being brought towards him so he will say, “I wish i had sent forward good deeds for this life in the hereafter.” But at that point, it would have been too late because it will be of no benefit.

In juz 29, Surah Qalam, Allah makes mention of a family who were blessed with many favours, but they were ungrateful to Allah, and so these favours were destroyed.

The story goes that there was a garden which was set up by a very pious man. Whenever he would harvest or pick up fruits, he would always leave some for the poor. Slowly, the poor started to gather at his garden whenever he would harvest or pick up fruits because they knew he would give it to them.

I’ve been making du’a for something desperately, especially in these last 10 odd nights. I wasn’t seeing a way out but subhanaAllah, today Allah facilitated it for me in the most beautiful of ways. And it’s just things like this that Allah does for you that make you feel loved that you’re not alone. That He knows your situation, He hears your calls and He’ll never leave you in despair.

His help is beyond our imagination. Musa عليه السلام understood this when he was trapped between
fir'aun and the red sea. Zakariyyah عليه السلام understood this when he

One of the things i love about the Qur’an is how it describes the manners and etiquettes you should have as a muslim towards another muslim. Allah mentions in Juz 28, Surah Hashr , how the Ansar welcomed the Muhajiroon with open arms when they first migrated to Madinah. They had no wealth or posessions. They had left every bit of luxury behind for the sake of Allah and journeyed to a city unknown to them. Which community would allow such a large number of people to come live in their city? But the way the Ansar selflessly gave away their wealth

Surah Rahman has to be one of the most beautiful surah’s in the Qur’an. The way it describes the blessings Allah has given mankind and then poses the question each time,

فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

“So which of the favours of your Lord can you deny?” It encourages us to thank Allah for all the bounties and blessings that surrounds us, no matter how big or small they may be. Out of those blessings, one of the greatest of them is the Qur’an, and Allah makes mention of this in the opening verses of the surah.

In Juz 22, Surah Yasin, Allah makes mention of a beautiful story of patience, forbearance and mercy. A man, by the name of Habib, used to worship his gods for 70 years until Allah sent some messengers to his city. By the will of Allah, he accepted Islam & Allah cured his leprosy. When he heard that the messengers were being mocked by the people in his city, he came running to tell them that the messengers were telling the truth. But subhanaAllah, it comes in a narration that the people hit and kicked him so much that he was martyred.

Whenever i see the sunrise or the sunset, it reminds me of a beautiful hadith that always leaves me awe struck. There’s a verse in Surah Yaseen that says,

“And the sun goes towards its resting place.”

[36:38] Some sahabah’s رضي الله عنهم asked the Prophet ﷺ about what this verse meant, to which he replied that when the sun sets, it goes beneath the ‘Arsh of Allah and does sajdah. It stays there till Allah grants it permission to rise again. So it rises in the morning & in the evening

I’ve been getting a lot of questions regarding this so i thought i’d do a little thread:

Questions you can ask a potential 📌

I’ve divided them into 10 sections to make things a little easier. These are just general and not something you feel you have to ask. You can take out and add your own from any of these as you please as what you ask your potential depends on your own personality, lifestyle, likes and dislikes and things that are most important to you. But i do pray & hope these are of benefit to anyone who may be anxious for their first meeting
