@janwat @MichaelWatsonMS That sounds way too vague to me—I prefer more concrete ideas. For instance, the areas of MS struggling with population loss the most are generally places with significant infrastructure needs and way too high property taxes without a sustainable way to fund local gov’t properly. @janwat @MichaelWatsonMS If you compare these maps to maps of population gain/loss, you’l find lots of overlap. Generally, areas losing a lot of population receive little support from the state and have high local property taxes. Image
