🏆 Unveiling my 2023 AI Winners 🏆

Note: There will be some overlap in these categories (ChatGPT could be in almost all of these) and inclusion on this list is not an endorsement. Image It started with ChatGPT, which attracted more users than the entire population of Vietnam in under two months.

Since that launch, we’ve seen AI explode (40K+ AI companies), trend (like OpenAI CEO’s boomerang and Google Gemini chaos), and make its mark (see: Nvidia’s stock 📈)

Ethan Mollick, Professor at @Wharton, is a brilliant educator on how AI is impacting the classroom.

He breaks down how AI is creating the “Homework Apocalypse” and how to handle each assignment type 👇 ESSAYS:

1. Back to in-class essays: doesn’t take advantage of AI.

2. Keep outside essays, forbid AI: impossible to control.

3. Keep outside essays, require AI: burden is on instructor to QA.

4. Active learning in class: best long-term option, requires structural change.

“But large language models aren’t anything special, they’re just predicting the next token/word 😝”

That is drastically underrepresenting the power, value, and threat of LLMs. Just because LLMs are predicting the features and probability of the next token/word/phrase does not mean it has no value or is never accurate.

There is going to be an absurd amount of B2B ChatGPT-esque apps in the next 12 months.

Here are just some of my top tips, having worked on both sides of the AI table for 10+ years 👇 Image Enterprise: Business Strategy 🏢

Prep your procurement teams (6+ months won’t cut it). Start small, maintain trust and transparency with end users. Consider internal-only use cases first (like Morgan Stanley and GPT-4).

Sam Altman shares future plans and roadmap for OpenAI.

Lots of good nuggets in here, and a few additional comments for my audience 👇

…site-754fwhahs-humanloopml.vercel.app/blog/open_ai_t… 1) Get ready to add your whole business as context for AI.

The context length war is on, sparking innovation.

These models model language and need context/examples, and Anthropic (100k) and OpenAI (32k) are both working on taking us from an article as context to full novels.

If you're only using ChatGPT, you're missing out.

Here is a SUPER simple way to start using OpenAI APIs (with screenshots and everything!) for all of my non-technical followers that want to use more of this tech. As a marketing manager, you can write 500 Instagram captions at once.

As an analyst, you can auto-generate memos from your insights.

As a researcher, you can quickly summarize thousands of survey responses.

Let's get into it.

Six more great ChatGPT hacks you’re probably not using enough today 👇 1) Have it create its own prompt 💡
Say, “I want to create a new marketing plan for the year for my new golf brand. Tell me what information you need to create the best plan, and write a prompt my team and I can use in the future for similar requests.”

I’ve worked with several schools (K-12 and universities) on ChatGPT and AI policies.

Here are some things to consider ✏️ 👇 Keep it iterative.

This is not a one-off question. You’re not just going to create a policy and have it last forever. AI is going to keep evolving. Make sure students, parents, teachers, and administrators know this from the get-go.

I used AI to create new headshots.

Let me tell you how it went. ImageImageImageImage 📷 there are several platforms that create AI headshots, I used TryItOn AI
📷 it costs $17 for 100 photos
📷 you specify your gender and upload 10-20 photos of yourself, I did 20
📷 you select what style or styles of photos you want, like Hollywood or outdoor casual

My ChatGPT posts have received over 10 million views.

Here is my top advice for creating AI content ✏️ Actually help people.

AI is still very new for most people. Reduce friction, remove jargon, explain acronyms, add direct click links, make it relevant, give concrete use cases, make it specific to job types, show real screenshots/recordings, show code, show the before & after.

Airbnb just announced its new remote work policy for its employees.

As someone who has lived in airbnbs the last two years, here are the lines that stood out to me the most… 🧵

news.airbnb.com/airbnbs-design… 1) you’re not on your own, there’s partner support

“Airbnb today announced our approach to allow employees to live and work anywhere, and how we will partner with destinations to help them attract remote workers.”

Why TikTok is freaking interesting, for non-Gen Z readers.

I used it for 3 weeks, so you don't have to.

A thread 👇 1) It’s built for viral content. It’s the Instagram “Explore” page on steroids. Posts can get 10MM+ views in the first day. Your default view (even though it's the second tab) is the "For You Page" or FYP. Smart.
