THREAD: Content warning: assault. Last night, after the @pattonoswalt show, my companion and I were hanging out on our hotel patio at @Half_Moon_Inn when we were assaulted by a man walking by in the parking lot. 1/ He threw, with FORCE, a cup full of fluid that hit the sliding glass door behind us, which caused it to basically explode and soak us with whatever was inside. The person I was with stood up and saw a man walking past. 2/

THREAD: It was 2011 and I was temporarily assigned to work at the Decedent Affairs Office at the Veteran’s Hospital in La Jolla. My first day in Decedent Affairs would mark the second time I had seen a deceased body. My job was preparing the body for the Honors Escort. 1/ The Honors Escort is a solemn procession that occurs when a veteran passes.
