People keep asking me how I found a part-time job as a product manager. I think there are basically 4 ways to do it.
I tried 3 of them and write about it below, but please note that I’m based in Germany (with good employee protection laws). It still is difficult, even here.
There are literally zero part-time product jobs advertised out there. I wrote about it several years ago, but the perception that PdMs need to be there “all day, every day“ is still going strong. I hope that companies come to their senses and offer more flexibility going forward.

This is one of the biggest levers, but it needs some practicing (for you and the team). Frame it like this: It’s not about getting rid of tasks, it’s about finding out how you can add most value as a PM.
