🇺🇸American science gutted.

One of the first things that Muscovy does in any occupation is remove the science.

In 🇱🇻Latvia, from 1991 until 2022, we had a two-bubble info society for a generation after USSR's 50y occupation, that resulted ('91) in 52% 🇱🇻demographic numbers. The Russian speakers who gathered their 'news' from Kremlin TV filled 🇱🇻Latvian hospital ICU beds with their unvaccinated numbers.

When I read The Baltic Independent newpaper from the early 1990s, there were Greenpeace and other environmentalist groups in the Baltics who were very active, calling for the removal of the Red Army from the Baltic countries. They were helpful. @gryn_a @DarthPutinKGB Example: The environmentalists were the first to enter the Paldiski nuclear submarine base.

A follow-up on theme of USSR-controlled BOOKS.

Do you know how the International researchers gained their knowledge of the people in USSR-captured territories?
One (large?) part was due to the CURATORS of book collections, for libraries and bookstores. Introducing: Schwede Slavic Books in Palo Alto, Calif. Before it folded (dawn of internet, 'online') in the 1980s, it was the PREMIER supplier of books from the USSR.
I sometimes bought my Latvian books there.
The bookstore lived down the road from Stanford University.

And the subsequent OMON murders of the 🇱🇹🇱🇻people protecting their TV station and Parliament buildings.

But did you know Gorbachev -also- ordered the OMON to Vilnius in JULY 1991?

Alot of people forget that Russia joined NATO's "Partnership for Peace" program in 1994.

The vote was regarding the Treaty signed between Latvia and Russia in 1994, while the Red Army was still occupying Latvia about care of the Soviet monuments. /1 For example, Rīga had the largest Soviet Monument in the Baltics until August 2022- we brought it down in a glorious spash.
