Highlights of 11th Report on Languages submitted to Prez of India:

1. The Committee of Parliament on Official Lang, headed by Home Minister Amit Shah, recommended that local languages should be given preference over English in all states. (1/6) 2. The medium of instruction in technical and non-technical higher education institutes such as IITs in Hindi-speaking states should be Hindi and in other parts of India their respective local language. A total of 7,95,031 candidates living in India cleared NEET 19, where 2,86,245 candidates in the unreserved category, 3,75,635 in the OBC category, 99,890 in the SC category & 35,272 in the ST category cleared the exam.
