KATA GANTI NAMA DIRI MELAYU

In English, most of what you'll ever use is 'I' and 'you'.

However, in Malay, it is not that simple.

For 'I', the Malays have:

Saya
Aku
Kami/Kita
Abang/adik/kakak/pakcik/etc.
<Nama>

All of these are different.

*****THREAD***** For 'you', the Malays have:

Awak
Kau
Kamu
Anda
Cik/Tuan/Puan
Saudara/saudari
Abang/adik/kakak/pakcik/etc.
<Name>

There are others like 'beta' and 'patik', but these are what the majority standard uses, the ones you encounter most.

Let's start with 'saya'.

This is polite 'I'.

This is a *THREAD*, approaching racism as an epistemological problem.

Whether you believe in racial superiority or not, give this a read.

We sometimes hear statements like "Malays are lazy" or "Chinese are materialistic" or "Indians are drunkards". These are generalisations or racial stereotypes, and they're prevalent in multicultural societies.

You can observe such sentiments in multicultural places like USA or UK or Canada or Malaysia.

I'm curious about the racists. Consider the X race, towards which you are racist.

**VOYNICH MANUSCRIPT**

There is one mysterious historical book, one manuscript, one codex, that has never been fully figured out by historians, or cryptographers, or linguists.

It is one of the most mysterious works in human history.

It is the Voynich Manuscript.

--THREAD-- The Voynich manuscript is a hand-written book which contains an unknown writing system - unknown language.

Carbon-dating suggested the date of writing to be in the early 15th century.

It is named after the Wilfrid Voynich, a Polish-Samogitian book dealer who bought it in 1912.

**MARXISM - A THREAD**

Karl Marx (1818-1883) ialah salah seorang pemikir terpenting dalam sejarah. Beliau menceburi bidang falsafah, politik, ekonomi, sejarah, sosiologi, dan merupakan pembawa revolusi sosialis.

Ini bukan biografinya, tetapi pengenalan mudah kepada Marxism. Mungkin sekarang waktu yang penting untuk kembali kepada idea2 Marx kerana sekarang kuasa besar dunia, China, membawa ideologi komunisme yang dipengaruhi Marx.

Dengan kepincangan ekonomi sekarang, dan munculnya kritikan2 terhadap kapitalis, kita boleh memanfaatkan pemikirannya.
