There are several kinds of elitism in traders' mindsets that are keeping them (us) back. They are is mostly ideology based - the reality is, as a trader you should be moving your assets around based on market momentum, not based on your beliefs.
Let's go over a few: 1/ X maximalism - won't let you short or even sell X. No matter how excited you are about the tech, don't get yourself get blinded - cash is a position too. I learnt the hard (maybe the only) way - on my own skin getting fleeced by holding onto BTC in 2018

I'm so excited about POW lately. It's a much more mature scene due to the experience users have gathered over the years. It has a longer history, track record and infrastructure.

This is my review for Cryptocurrency - A Trader's Handbook by @cryptorangutang
This book is intended for a complete, 100% raw, virgin trader and wants to arm them with the right tools for the cryptocurrency market.
In summary, it does a hack job.

Let's dig in.
Firstly, the structure - the book has an index with chapters, but it's not really visible inside the book itself. The themes and subjects jump around and the authors seem unfocused.
The text is often interrupted with "we'll cover this later" but doesn't where.
