@maxplanations I think Lenin was essentially 80% wrong, but this isn't a very analytic understanding of the situation. Russia was state at a particular node in the capitalist world-economy already. The revolution didn't change the mode of production, it overthrew the autocracy. @maxplanations When the Bolsheviks took state power they carried out the task of constraining the class struggle; ending the revolutionary upheaval and suppressing the opposition in order to build the state.
