Twice now I arrived with a confirmed booking at a hotel that was overbooked. The second time I made the booking an hour before arriving, and there were even rooms available as I stood in the lobby. Strange! The receptionist wanted to show me some different (sub standard and more expensive) hotels in the neighborhood instead. The first time I went along - hey, things happen, no biggie. The second time in the same hotel, 3 years later, I figured it was fishy.

All this talk about swift is making me uncomfortable. Is that really the outer margin of what we can offer Ukraine?

There is a much better way to show Putin that there is a price for his aggression: offer Ukraine a road to membership of both NATO and the EU. Right now.
