It’s sad how a program funded by .@NIH, .@DC_CFAR that is housed at a prestigious institution such as .@NorthwesternU that have budgets/endowments that are in the BILLIONS struggle to pay its SGM/BIPOC scholars $600 for a scholarship more than 4 months after a program ends.
Initially, the financial support was promised to be ready for scholars upon arrival to the program, but it was not. Excuses were made. Many scholars left because of the financial strain they were in bc they were counting on that support. Scholars were told they will be reimbursed
