Things I learned via SW that I want younger women to know:

-In the grand scheme of things, looks don’t actually matter that much. They do, but they don't. Probably less than you think. In a sea of beautiful women, confidence, elegance and kindness will always stand out -Speaking of looks, what attracts men (and women) is FAR more diverse and subjective than the media would have you believe. Humans are attracted to humans, not perfection. Try not to worry too much

Occasionally I see tweets floating around urging girls to "make their own money" so they don't have to rely on a man. That's a nice thought...that erases the systematic ways in which women earn less than men, are exposed to less opportunity, discriminated against etc.. (1) Why are we shaming women for receiving financial support from men when the system is literally designed to favour men in the workplace? I'm all for changing the system, but urging women to work harder is NOT the answer
